The Adamello Brenta Nature Park is the largest protected area in the whole of Trentino Alto Adige and you can easily explore it by setting off from our Family Hotel in Andalo.
A brief description of the majesty of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park is impossible. However, we want to let you know that this magnificent protected area is just a few kilometres from Andalo and also contains the Brenta Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Adamello Glacier, one of the 61 geosites of the Adamello Brenta UNESCO Global Geopark, Lake Tovel known for the rare wildlife and botanical species and Lake Molveno with waters that act as a mirror to the impressive beauty of the Dolomites.
There’s a long list of things to do and see in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park and here are our recommendations for you: excursions with mountain guides; easy walks also for half a day, or those organised at sunset or at night; educational outings to discover the habitat of the brown bear, a protected species in the park; trekking for families on the Val Rendena mountain pastures; daily activities in the Tovel Valley or in the Genova Valley. For the more experienced, crossing the Brenta Dolomites and the Presanella mountain range is a must.
If you want to stay around Andalo and organise activities with the children in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, our advice is to go to Molveno on foot, by car or by bicycle, and then climb to the Pradel Plateau with “La Panoramica”, the cableway that takes you to the terrace overlooking the lake and the Brenta Dolomites. At the Pradel Plateau, you’ll also find: the Forest Park family adventure park; the Mondo di Sciury, an educational path dedicated to the cute little squirrel of the same name; the Malga Tovre an Alpine hut with an educational farm, where activities are organised in close contact with the animals, as well as workshops.
